Villa Ro Apartments
Villa Ro Apartments is operated as a HUD low-income housing authority. Our complex is made up of 35 duplex structures (70 apartments), which range in size from one to three bedrooms. Four of our units are equipped for wheelchair access and include handicapped showers. Villa Ro is a smoke-free public housing facility.
Admission is based on three primary factors: income, age and family composition. We welcome anyone 18 years of age or older to apply. Students must be able to verify they are living independent of financial assistance from their parents in order to be eligible for our apartments. Senior citizens and those with disabilities are given preference on our waiting list, as well as those who are working. Income limits are adjusted on an annual basis to reflect changes in the current income base for McPherson County, Kansas.
Our office and community room is centrally located within the complex. The community room is available to tenants as an extension of their living room and features a piano, TV, tables and chairs to accommodate 60 people, and a full kitchen.
How much rent will you pay?
Here at Villa Ro, your rent is based on your income. Senior citizens are able to use out-of-pocket medical expenses as deductions before their rent is calculated. Those who are working receive a 20% deduction from their wages before their rent is calculated.
Tenants are responsible for their own gas and electric utility bills. An allowance is made when rent is computed to help defray the cost of utilities. Villa Ro Apartments pays all water, sewer and trash charges.
Safe, Clean & Friendly
We think that you will find Villa Ro a very attractive and comfortable place to live. Our full-time maintenance staff is diligent in keeping apartments well-maintained and tenants need only call the office for fast maintenance response. Our staff is on-call 24 hours a day for emergencies.
We provide families housing that is safe and affordable. Children have access to green spaces and two modern playground areas. A coin-operated laundry is available on site for the use of tenants who do not have their own laundry equipment. Pets are allowed as specified in our pet policy and after approval by our office.
Villa Ro's many special features make us an appealing choice for retirement living. Villa Ro will not discriminate against any person because of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, color, handicap, familial status or national origin.
